The Riksdag is situated on Helgeandsholmen in central Stockholm. This page contains information about how to get to the Riksdag and about the various entrances to the Riksdag. Information about the entrances to the Riksdag Please arrive in good time when you are visiting the Riksdag. All visitors to the Riksdag are to bring valid identification with them and, where relevant, their invitation or a summons to a meeting, in order to facilitate their entry. All visitors are to pass through a security check at the entrance. Visitors to the Riksdag Library are to pass through a security check. Accredited journalists who are not permanently based at the Riksdag (who possess an "M-pass") are to pass through the security checks at Riksgatan 1, 3 or at the entrance to the Members' Building at Mynttorget. A decision concerning security checks at the entrances to the Riksdag buildings was taken by the Speaker on 18 November 2015. In connection with this, a number of security-enhancing measures were also taken. The new routines will apply until 31 March 2017, unless otherwise decided. The former Second Chamber RÖ = East Wing of the Riksdag, RV = West Wing of the Riksdag How to get to the Riksdag: Bus 3 or 59 to Riddarhustorget in Gamla stan (the Old Town), followed by 5 minutes' walk to the Riksdag building Bus 2, 53, 55, 57, 65 or 76 to Kungsträdgården/Karl XII:s torg, followed by 5-10 minutes' walk to the Riksdag building Metro to Gamla stan, T-centralen or Kungsträdgården, followed by 5-10 minutes' walk to the Riksdag building Train to Stockholm Central Station, followed by approximately 10 minutes' walk to the Riksdag building.
