Continued communicable disease control measures at restaurants and bars

9 December 2020 klockan 16.54

The Riksdag voted in favour of the Government's proposal to extend the period of validity of the act on temporary communicable disease control measures at venues serving food and drink.

The act establishes that anyone running a venue that serves food and drink, such as a restaurant, bar or café, is responsible for taking certain measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

On account of the continued spread of COVID-19, the law will be extended until 31 May 2021. The law will continue to apply to certain matters or cases in court even after it has expired on 31 May 2021, if the matter or case was initiated before that date.
