Sweden's participation in NATO's training and advice mission, RSM, in Afghanistan is to be extended until 31 December 2021.
The Swedish forces are to consist of 50 people. If the situation demands, it will be possible to add a temporary reinforcement and evacuation force consisting of a maximum of 150 people. The Riksdag voted in favour of the Government's proposal.
The aim of the mission is to support Afghan security forces with training and advice in order to strengthen their capability to independently manage the country's security.
