The Committee on the Constitution’s hearings on scrutiny matters on 20, 22 and 26 April

The Committee on the Constitution will be holding hearings on 20, 22 and 26 April relating to the Committee's scrutiny, among other things, of the Government's actions in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic. The scrutiny is based on reports from members of the Riksdag to the Committee on the Constitution and on committee initiatives. Several ministers will be heard, including Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (Social Democratic Party).

Hearing Tuesday 20 April

  • 10 a.m: Hearing in the Committee on the Constitution with Minister for Home Affairs Mikael Damberg (Social Democratic Party).

Hearings Thursday 22 April

  • 9 a.m: Hearing in the Committee on the Constitution with former Minister for Foreign Affairs Margot Wallström (Social Democratic Party).
  • 10.30 a.m: Hearing in the Committee on the Constitution with Minister for Foreign Affairs Ann Linde (Social Democratic Party) - NB: the hearing will be held behind closed doors.

Hearing Monday 26 April

  • 1 p.m: Hearing in the Committee on the Constitution with Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (Social Democratic Party).

Venue for the hearings

The hearings will be held in the former First Chamber and will be open to the media and the public, unless otherwise communicated. There is a limited number of seats on account of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The hearing with Ann Linde will be held behind closed doors in the Committee on the Constitution's assembly room.
